2026-2027 Tryouts Scheduled For June 13-17, 2026
Tryouts for OSC teams forming for Fall 2026-Spring 2027 will be held June 13-17. Girls' teams will have the first of their two tryouts on Saturday, June 13 with their second tryout some evening Monday, June 15- Wednesday, June 17. The boys' teams will have the first of their two tryouts on Sunday, June 14 with their second tryout some evening of the same week. A tryout schedule will be finalized by May 15. Upcoming Nationwide Changes to Soccer Age Groups (Starting Fall 2026) Effective for the Fall 2026 season (starting with tryouts in June 2026), US Youth Soccer and other national organizations are moving to a new "School Year" based birth date cutoff (August 1 – July 31). This change will affect ALL CLUBS and Okemos Soccer Club will implement the change across our club. Our club has been through birth date cutoff changes before (as recently as 2016) so we understand this adjustment may cause short-term frustration as all teams will be affected. US soccer’s governing bodies made this decision for the long-term benefit of the players. The goal is to ensure better social alignment, grouping players with their classmates and simplifying transitions through high school. The new cutoff for any age group will include players born between August 1st of one year and July 31st of the next. Please see the chart for specifics for each age group.
